It is the elevator design in which the driving capability is provided by the hydraulic pump unit. In order to move the hydraulic lifts upwards, the oil goes from the tank to the cylinder and an asynchronous electric submersible pump is used.

The most important feature of the pumps used is the volumetric pumps that keep the speed in the upward direction constant.

The downward movement of the Hydraulic Goods Lift is only provided to throw the suspension cabin piston and hydraulic oil from the cylinder to the tank and return.

The force applied to the cylinder is the cabin weight, rated load and piston weight. In case of using double cylinders, the hydraulic oil is thrown back from the cylinder to the tank with the cabin weight.
